To represent parents, and act as a forum for debate, on non-core educational issues. Core educational issues should be raised via the Parent Governor, the Head of the Lower/Upper School, or with the Head Teacher. The Parent Governor also attends Friends’ meetings.
To promote social activities for parents and organise events that support the enrichment and development of the whole school community, involving parents, school staff and children.
To raise funds for charity (normally for the charity supported by the School at the relevant time).
To raise funds, as appropriate and as agreed between the Head Teacher and the Friends for the School and for the good of the children. Such funds will be spent on “extras” and pastoral projects, not on capital works or on projects that relate directly to the educational curriculum.
