Registration for a Reception place is strongly recommended on a child’s first birthday and can be completed by submitting the Registration Form and returning it to the School Secretary. A non-refundable fee is required to secure pupil registration, however this does not guarantee that a place will be offered.
Children registered on their first birthdays are entered into a ballot. Siblings of current pupils are given priority. If places still remain after all siblings and children registered on their first birthday have been offered, then the ballot system continues to operate based on proximity of registration to the child’s first birthday.
Following the ballot consisting of children registered on their first birthdays, successful registrations will be invited to meet with the Head of Lower School for an informal interview. This usually takes place 15 months before the Reception year commences. On receipt of an offer letter parents have 7 days in which to accept a place. At this stage the deposit of £3000, a signed acceptance form and proof of identification are required. For 2018 pupils starting in September and onwards, half of one term’s fees (at the new academic year fee level) will be payable in advance on the first day of the preceding Summer Term. Both the deposit and half of one term’s fee are non-refundable on withdrawal of an accepted place before attendance at the school.
The deposit will be returned to parents once the child leaves Year 6 subject to all outstanding fees being settled.
Occasionally places in other year groups throughout the school may become available. A registration form should be completed and when a place is available the family will be invited in for an informal meeting with the Head of Lower/Upper School.
