Fees

For the purposes of this policy the definition of a sibling is:

• The pupil must be one of three or more children (biologically or legally adopted) having one or both parents in common.
• The discount is not available to family members outside the sibling relationship such as stepbrothers/sisters.

The following subsidies will apply from September 2024 for families with three or more children who attends any school in the Gardener Group of schools – Ravenscourt Park Preparatory School, Kew Green Preparatory School, Kew House School and Maida Vale School and Kew Green Nursery.

• 5% discount for every child

Please note that these are only effective as long as the siblings remain in school or if a sibling attends any school in the Gardener Group.

• The discount would cease if/when one of the other two siblings leave the school or from any school in the Gardener Group.
• Pupils in receipt of the sibling discount are not eligible for any other discounts.

All three and four-year-old children are entitled to 15 hours of government-funded early education each week during term time, helping families with the cost of early years provision.

For eligible children aged three or four, the School will support families in applying for Early Education Funding (EEF) through the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. The funding is paid by the Local Authority directly to the School.

The Local Authority funding contributes towards the cost of provision but does not cover the full cost of the education and care provided by the School. Our early years offer includes a broad and high-quality curriculum delivered by experienced teachers, together with strong adult-to-child ratios.

Where a child attends for more than the statutory funded entitlement, parents are responsible for the cost of the additional contracted hours. The grant is therefore applied to the eligible funded hours, with the remaining School fees payable by parents.

By way of illustration, the grant for the Autumn Term 2026 is expected to be £1,423.80. The amount received may vary from term to term according to the funding rate set by the Local Authority and the number of eligible days within each term. The School currently intends to continue participating in the scheme for the benefit of families; however, continued participation cannot be guaranteed, particularly if future regulatory or administrative requirements make the scheme impractical to operate.

The school operates a limited fees in advance scheme.

Our Morning and After School Care is in place to help parents who need to bring their children to school early and who are unable to collect them at the end of the afternoon lessons. Our dedicated supervision staff ensure the children have the best possible experience and enjoy the various activities and games on offer.

Timings

Morning care is available from 08:00 and afternoon care runs up until 18:00.

How it works

Wrap around care can be used on an ad hoc basis whenever it is needed or, parents can register and pre-pay for the full day service at the start of term.

After care details

At the end of lessons, children attending aftercare may work on their homework or take part in a range of supervised games and activities. Children who stay beyond 16:45 will be given a hot or cold snack. There are also a range of afterschool clubs, the majority of which finish at 16:40.

Prices

Morning Care
£6.50 per child per day.
Children can be dropped off at 08:00.
Children left in supervised care anytime between 08:00 and 08:30 will be charged.

Aftercare
£14.50 per child per day.
Aftercare finishes at 18:00.

Fees must be paid in full on or before the first day of term. Interest may be charged on any fees outstanding. The standard fee per term is exclusive of VAT. The school reserves the right to exclude any child for whom fees have not been paid.

Lunch, full day care, club and instrumental tuition fees are payable on or before the first day of term. No refunds are made for absence, for whatever reason.

Where parents wish to withdraw their child from the school, we require a whole, full term’s notice to be given. To do this, parents must notify us, in writing, by the last day of the term preceding the one at the end of which the child will leave. If this notice is not given, parents are liable for one term’s fee in lieu of notice.
