Homework is intended to reinforce key skills and recently acquired subject knowledge. The acquisition of independent study skills is vital to preparing children for the demands of secondary education and a dedication to life-long learning.
By gradually increasing the amount of set homework through each year group, we aim to ensure a smooth progression in study skills whilst still allowing children to explore extra-curricular learning opportunities beyond the school gates.
