Physical Education (PE) and Games form a very important dimension of a child’s education at RPPS. All children from Reception through to Year Six receive a timetabled PE lesson and designated games afternoon. During your child’s journey through RPPS they will have the opportunity to participate in the following: gymnastics, dance, swimming, fitness, athletics, rugby, football, cricket, rounders, hockey, netball, basketball, volleyball and tennis.

The purpose of PE and Games at RPPS is to provide an inclusive sporting environment where students of varying skill levels are able to improve on performance by endeavouring to achieve realistic, attainable goals, both as individuals and as part of a team. All children in the Upper School will have the opportunity to play in competitive fixtures against other schools. We are proud to be a co-educational school and believe that boys and girls should experience and enjoy playing sports together. Sport from Reception through to Year Four is entirely co-educational, and then children in Year Five and Six may choose which sports they wish to participate in from the selection on offer each term. We do not shy away from competition and our teams have a strong track record of success across all sports.
